Adventist Health Selects Teladoc for Employee Telehealth Program
Leading Health System to Integrate Comprehensive Telehealth Services
PURCHASE, NY, June 7, 2018 – Teladoc, Inc. (NYSE: TDOC), the world’s largest and most trusted provider of virtual care delivery services, announced today that Roseville, Calif-based Adventist Health will deploy Teladoc’s comprehensive telehealth solutions to advance the prominent health system’s telehealth initiatives. Teladoc will provide its unrivaled technology and operational support via the Adventist Health OnDemand program to 29,000 health system employees and covered dependents.
“We are committed to implementing the right solutions that will enhance the care experience of our employees and their families. Teladoc supports our systematic approach to improving access to care with a reliable, highly configurable platform,” said Rob Marchuk, vice president of ancillary services, Adventist Health. “Teladoc is the right choice for our organization given its robust platform, unmatched operational support, and outstanding telehealth solutions. We look forward to expanding the Adventist Health OnDemand program to our patients in the future.”
Adventist Health joins the growing list of more than 250 U.S. hospitals and health systems who have partnered with Teladoc. As the industry’s only telehealth technology platform built for hospital and health systems and exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association, Teladoc will integrate into Adventist Health’s broader commitment to deliver high-quality care in a convenient and affordable way—expanding the health system’s ability to meet patient demand and reduce costs.
“Adventist Health recognizes the advantage that our scalable solutions provide as they expand their patient relationships through consumer telehealth,” said Alan Roga, MD, president, hospital and health systems, Teladoc. “This partnership allows Adventist to grow its telehealth services and bring unmatched value to their long-term strategies.”
Results from Teladoc’s second-annual 2017 State of Consumer Telehealth Survey reinforce Adventist Health’s strategic approach to telehealth, revealing that 68% of health systems use telehealth to treat existing patient populations. Additionally, 62% of health systems are treating their own employees and covered dependents through telehealth.
