InTouch Health and Decisio Health Announce Partnership
Decisio Health Partners with InTouch Health to Provide Clinical Surveillance for Critically Ill
SANTA BARBARA, CA, February 8, 2018 – InTouch Health, with its leading enterprise telehealth platform, and DECISIO Health, a healthcare company that drives personalized proactive real-time clinical decision support for acute-care provider systems for early recognition and intervention of clinical decompensation, today announced a partnership to integrate DECISIOInsight with the InTouch Telehealth Platform.
The integration enables clinicians to remotely manage high-risk patients at the bedside or remotely using DECISIO’s easily accessible clinical surveillance data visualization platform, DECISIOInsight, embedded within InTouch Health’s telehealth platform and devices.
The InTouch Operating System with DECISIOInsight embedded, shows the patient in Bay #2 is at risk of developing sepsis. The physician is alerted, and can click on the InTouch device icon to immediately launch a telemedicine encounter to facilitate intervention.
“Built on our proprietary, cloud-based network, the InTouch Operating System powers telehealth by enabling clinicians to connect with patients from the highest to the lowest acuity settings, including the home. Key partnerships allow InTouch Health to extend the reach and functionality of our OS into more care locations, giving health systems a single virtual care platform,” said Joseph M. DeVivo, InTouch Health Chief Executive Officer.
“We are excited to partner with DECISIO Health to create the first, bunkerless teleICU solution with real-time monitoring to help save more lives, while also making it easier to implement a much more cost effective solution.”
Using this new integrated capability, hospitals can proactively set their enterprise or unit focused monitoring protocols based on a range of high-risk conditions and the system will send out meaningful real-time alerts to the clinical team members via tablets, smartphones or pagers when critical thresholds or predictive patterns are detected.
The clinical team can immediately review the patient’s real time personalized physiological data and “bundles of care” protocols for Sepsis, EGDT, CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP, Renal, Neuro Worsening, PRx, VTE, and others to promote compliance for improved patient outcomes. Additionally, DECISIOInsight allows the clinician to visualize the trending of labs and vitals clearly, as well as the medications that have been administered or need to be.
“DECISIOInsight proactively identifies risks and reduces time to intervention using real-time clinical surveillance with data visualization to improve clinical outcomes, lower the cost of care, improve the patient & family experience, and drive toward significant efficiencies that enhance the clinician work experience,” said Eric Quiñones M.D., DECISIO Health’s Chief Medical Officer.
“Integrating this ability with InTouch Health’s network, especially their TeleICU, TeleSepsis, and other Tele specialty capabilities, enables hospitals to detect a critical event early and immediately connect the patient with a specialist, improving both the quality and cost of care by preventing avoidable life-threatening complications. In critical and emergent care, it is all about early recognition and a swift intervention.”
